A very slow but colorful aurora moving over skjervøy, Troms, Northern Norway. I often find that the slower, weaker auroras is a lot better to photograph, it gives you more time to think about how to compose the image. Also the fainter aurora tends to blend better with light pollution for some really interesting colors.
The funny thing is that this little river is only about 20 meters away from the main road, but when the conditions is right it is just beautiful, but it has a limited time frame where the light is just right, first two weeks in july. I tried to shoot this one year before I got this image, but the condition was never right, so after having the image in the back of my head for a year it was a good release to finally get it. Captured in Nordreisa, Northern Norway.
Beautiful clear skies far away from any light pollution, does not get much better contitions to watch the night sky. Getting the milky way between the aurora is something that has crossed my mind many times but not something I thought I would get anytime soon, luck played a big part in getting this shot but so have the constant chase for the most beautiful auroras. Captured in Reisadalen, Nordreisa, Troms, Northern Norway.
