Passage

A beautiful river, rarely noticed, but a really beautiful place to photograph. The monotonous sound of the river made me more and more tired, but all the interesting images I could capture here got me awake again. Funny how those experiences in nature can be, always interesting and photography always gets me to appreciate nature even more.

Floating symphony

Image captured in Kildalen which lies in Nordreisa, Troms, Northern Norway. The midnight sun does not shine directly in here, but when the sky glows up like this, it matters not. When approaching autumn this river almost dries up , but during snow melting it really comes to life and it is a lot of fun photographing.

Grace

Tributary

Stunning scenery of the fjords of Skjervøy in Troms, Northern Norway. For anyone fond of mountains, this area has tons of it to offer, not to mention all the rivers, glaciers and fjords. I found a nice composition further down the river, as I tend to not do so well standing on a edge with a good chance of falling I elected to go for a different shot.

Before the rain

Dream

Captured at Ternvannet, Lofoten, Northern Norway. This lake lies in a valley and even though it was a bit of wind when driving here, it was absolutely quiet at the lake. Under the right conditions any place can be beautiful, but this place was just mindblowing, so still and quiet in the middle of the night and just breathtaking to look at. Due to the strong contrast between the sky and the mountain I had to combine several captures at different brightness level to get an image that was closer to what was seen.

Silver morning

Hardly any clouds left, but still moving quickly, so did a more zoomed in image during the early morning hours. Warm in the sun, cold in the shadows, just a perfect morning to do some landscape photography. Captured in Kildalen, Nordreisa, Northern Norway.

Magic of May

Slumber in Senja

A beautiful morning photographing at this lake. There was several campers sleeping on the side of the lake so my brother and I had to be really quiet when taking pictures here, but it kinda fit the mood of the moment as well. Image captured in Grunnvåg, Senja, Northern Norway.

Mountain blues

Quite a small lake, but on a rocky mountain it is like finding a gem. Captured in Nordreisa, Northern Norway.

Navit falls

After a long days work my brothern and I headed to this river to relax and snap a few images, with a ready fireplace just a few meters away from this river it was the perfect place to chill out. You always have to judge an image based on what you want to include and exclude and due to powerlines going just outside the left of the image I had to push the composition a bit more to the right. Was standing on some real slippery rocks as welll so it provided quite a few interesting moments when shooting this. Image captured in Kvænangsbotn, Troms, Northern Norway. X marks the spot

I so badly wanted to go out on the ice as I saw a beautiful composition, but with the thin ice the risk was too high. Lucky in a way, because by searching some more I found an even better composition. Image captured in Oksfjord, Northern Norway.
