Super cold nights are amazing to photograph, but the desire to stay out for very long goes away rather quickly when it dips below -30 degrees celcius. An incoming car and the city lights in the distance created this glow behind the tree and put a unique quality on the image. Image captured in Kildalen(Nordreisa), Troms, Northern Norway.
This particular area you cannot see the rocks once the tide comes in, but once the water level lowers it reveals a whole new world. The aurora up to the point where I shot this was rather calm and it came as quite the surprise when it started to flare up and dance across the skies, and the aurora shaping like someone playing a guitar was a nice added bonus.
